Therapeutic Massage & Manual Therapy

What is Manual Therapy and How Can it Benefit You?

Providing treatment sessions of Therapeutic Massage and Manual Therapy enables healing in the body so that you can move and feel better. This approach treats the cause of your pain and discomfort, not just the pain. This allows the body to correct the dysfunction and helps you recover quicker so you can get back to your normal activities.

During the session, I conduct an examination of your:

      • Movement
      • Joints
      • Muscles
      • Connective tissue
      • Ligaments
      • Tendons

This information is used to provide the best treatment approach for you. Some postural guidance will also be added to help with your recovery when needed.

About Judy Acosta, LMT, M00385

Judy AcostaI’m Judy Acosta, LMT, M00385, and I’ve been a Licensed Massage Therapist in Maryland since 1997. I’ve been a Professional Member of the American Massage Therapy Association since 1997 . My journey began when I started my private bodywork and massage practice after graduating from the Baltimore School of Massage in 1997. Over the years my practice has focused on sports massage, deep tissue, and myofascial release just to name a few.

In 2015, I was introduced to manual therapy as another treatment solution for my clients. I’ve personally had been treated with this technique and found it to provide significant value to my health. Using this new treatment, my clients move better, feel better and have more energy.

Today, I continue to take classes in manual therapy and actively participate in study groups to advance my understanding and knowledge to treat and help you move and feel better.Judy mountain biking

In my spare time I enjoy spending time training my adopted Siberian Husky, camping, hiking and mountain biking.

I am a big believer in getting regular bodywork so that I can continue to enjoy the activites that I love throughout the aging process.

When I left, I felt alot better and could move my neck.  I call her the lady with the “magic hands”.
